The Diemen Awards celebrates Tasmania's best and brightest talent in commercial creativity.

One of Australia's leading creative industry awards, the Diemen Awards evolved out of the Printing Industries Craftsmanship Awards (PICA) which showcased Tasmania's craft and print culture for over two decades. Since 2014 it's been their goal to celebrate Tasmania's talent in commercial creativity, including design, advertising, print and digital communications.

We knew the Diemen Awards new website had to be pretty special — after all, its main audience would be some of the most talented creatives in the state!

We loved creating this site and took extra care in applying the finishing touches that would make it shine. With a hint of gold shimmer on link hovers, a transforming trophy on the homepage scroll and some seamless transitions on collapsable content blocks, this is one of our favourites.

Since the launch of the website, we have also built an integrated entry and judging platform that streamlines entries through to a judging portal, which then populates the website with an archive of winners' and finalists' artwork once the awards have taken place. The perfect example of using tech to make things simple.
